Get the Kids Gardening
By admin | December 10, 2006
What a great way to get the kids outdoors, introduce them to gardening and the whole family will never look back. Some of my happiest childhood memories are from spending both hot summer and chilly winter days with my dad getting my hands dirty in the ground. In those days there was no such thing as a retractable hose reel so much of time was spent winding the hose and helping to organize the garden for dad.
Christmas is a great opportunity to get them excited, many gardening retailers sell books and equipment to for children’s gardens and to simply involve them in creating garden themes
Buying gardening kit for kids make a fun and practical Christmas gift. Whilst taking the opportunity of winter sales to upgrade your hose reel to a cool retractable hose reel is also a great way to get the kids involved.

I’ve seen some wonderful tips for gardening and ideals for kids and gardening on kathyireland.com. She has an expert named Nicolas Walker who is great. I saw him on Oprah before.
Thanks

Getting your children hooked on gardening will provide them with many years of meaningful activity. And I think as time goes by, our hectic and stressful lives will require some sort of counterbalance that helps us renew our bodies and our souls. What better “rat-race buster” than gardening?
