Lawn & Garden World 2006 : Las Vegas

Perhaps a little late, but believe me there was a lot to take in this year. After last years mamoth 60th show with over 3200 exhibitors I didnt believe this flagship show could get any bigger. But then this is Las Vegas and here nothing shrinks, nothing stands still and stagnates, just like your garden it grows and grows.
The 61st NATIONAL HARDWARE SHOW AND LAWN & GARDEN WORLD was held between MAY 9 - 11, 2006 At the Las Vegas Convention CenterLas Vegas, Nevada, USA
The combined National Hardware Show and Lawn & Garden World represents the total retail home enhancement marketplace. Retailers, wholesalers, distributors, dealers, importers and exporters in every distribution channel for every home and garden need.
Exbititors ranged from the small innovators to the super large multinational manufacturered and distributors whilst attendees included CEOs, presidents, vice presidents, owners, partners, buyers, operations, logistics, merchandising, and marketing professionals from retailers, wholesalers & distributors and importers & exporters.

Exhibitors include: manufacturers of garden products such as hose reels and tools, and home-related products including handand power tools, electrical and plumbing, housewares, paint and home décor.
My focus at the show was obviously the Lawn & Garden halls where simply hundreds of companies vied for the attention of thousands of visitors. New products were proudly launched and boasted of improvements to technology and of course convience for the user. There was a plethora of hoses and gadgets available. My favourite product, the Auto-Winding Hose Reel was represented by Hydro Industries who were launching a new range of styles (both enclosed and exposed designs).
