Hose Pipe Ban - Advice for our British Friends
By admin | May 10, 2006
What are you to do when you spend all winter imagining the perfect garden, you’ve gone out and bought the seeds, a new pair of gardening gloves and even the fertiliser to ‘make your garden grow’ only to be told that final ingredient, water is not available for use without a hefty fine or prison sentence for persistent infringement?
Simple answer: Plan, Plan, and Plan some more. Don’t give up the dream. Make sure your garden is well-watered for as long as possible.
At the bottom of this post we’ve listed some information sites for our friends in the UK so eagle eyes can be kept on the weather, the restrictions and hints and tips.
We know they’re soon to reach that time in the year when the little island surrounded by water and that always seems to be suffering from excessive rain fall is besieged by the annual Hose Pipe Ban.
Every year gardens that do not receive sufficient planning wither and flowers shrivel as they’re starved of food, the essence of life - WATER. As the days advance we’ll post up to date information on tips to bypass the potential consequences of an un-watered garden.
