How to Make Sun Dried Tomatoes ג€“ 3 Easy Steps
By DanP | July 8, 2008
How to make delicious sun dried tomatoes, is easy and tasty. Sun dried tomatoes, when you have tomatoes to spare from your salads, is not too hard to “cook up”.
- Get some tomatoes and fresh basil.
- Slice tomatoes about 1/2 inches thick.
- Place the tomatoes on a cookie tray, spaced slightly apart. Sprinkle on top: rock salt, basil, pepper and a bit of sugar. Place in 200-300 degree oven, or in the sun, from where the name is derived. Drying time is about 2-6 hours. You know they are done when the edges curl up slightly and the juice stops flowing from the tomatoes.
Lastly, let them cool on the rack. Place them in a jar with a bit of olive oil in the refrigerator for about one week. Use them in salads or on pizza, or however you want, and enjoy your sun dried tomatoes, one of lifeג€™s true culinary pleasures.

Climbing Roses for Fences, Buildings and Walls
By DanP | July 4, 2008
Climbing roses are a great value and beautiful at the same time. Climbing roses can climb trees, buildings, fences or against walls, pillars or outdoor decking roofs, or pergolas. Climbing roses generally have large beautiful flowers and may bloom repeatedly throughout the Summer and Fall seasons.
Climbers naturally grow vertically; however, if they are allowed growing this way, there will be fewer shoots, resulting in fewer flowers. Better to train the rose stems of the climber to grow horizontally along a fence or trellis, resulting in many more shoots and rose blooms.
Climbing roses need water.ֲ Be sure to use your home garden hose to give them plenty of life-giving water.
